Our Staff

Marilyn Milleson-Nichols, Manager
Email: mmile@stonemor.com

As a native Kansan, Marilyn feels her career path has followed the "Yellow Brick Road" of the funeral industry since 1975. She came to this funeral home in 2010 and enjoys helping the families through the difficult journey of losing a loved one.  The longtime Wichita resident is a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church and is active with the American Heart Association’s “Go Red” campaign and the Midian Shrine Ladies.

Marilyn was born in Concordia, and grew up on her great-grandmother’s farm in Republic, with her parents and younger brother.  She discovered at age 16, while attending her school’s career day, she wanted to become a funeral director. After high school, she graduated from Fort Hays State University and Kansas City Kansas Community College Mortuary School.

She has earned a Master Funeral Director License, National Board of Funeral Service License, Kansas Embalmer License, Kansas Insurance License, Eye Enucleator License and CANA Crematory Operator License, and has served on KFDA committees.

Active in her community, she is a board member for Good Grief of Kansas and the Via Christi Medical Center-Perinatal. She also has been a member of Ivy Leaf Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, and has served as a committee member of Heartbreak and Hope, which helps families who have lost infants and children.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Blake Nichols, who travels the country as a semi-truck driver, and their 24 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and beloved Boxer named Bella. Her other hobbies include antiquing, shopping, reading, word searches and working in the lawn.
